If you find yourself receiving unsolicited emails to the email address you used to register your domain, you may want to consider purchasing domain ID protection.

Domain ID protection allows you to hide your personal information from any domain WHOIS searches, preventing companies or individuals from obtaining your personal information and sending you unwanted email. In order to purchase domain ID protection, please complete these steps:

  1. First, log in to your Host Geek account. Upon doing so, you will see the welcome screen. Underneath the wecome message, you will see four tabs. From left to right they read: "Services", "Domains", "Tickets", and "Invoices".
  2. Click the "Domains" tab. On the next page you will see a list of domains you have purchased with Host Geek.
  3. Navigate to the domain you wish to purchase ID protection for, and click the down arrow to the right.
  4. From this menu, navigate to the bottom and click "Manage Domain".
  5. The next page will include a list box on the left side of the screen. Click "Addons".
  6. On the next page, you will be given a list of addons for your domain name. Click "ID Protection" and follow the steps to purchase your domain ID protection.
  7. Congratulations! You are done!
